Citizens Bank in New Hampshire provides $1.1 million in grants and charitable contributions in first half of 2008
Manchester, N.H. (July 25, 2008) - Citizens Bank today announced it has contributed $1.18 million to nearly 100 New Hampshire nonprofits during the first six months of 2008.
“Citizens Bank is committed to our customers, colleagues and communities alike and we are pleased to have partnered with so many outstanding organizations throughout the state,” said Cathleen A. Schmidt, president of Citizens Bank, New Hampshire.
Each year, Citizens Bank invests in a wide range of grants, which are administered through the Citizens Bank Foundation, as well as sponsorships and partnerships. In 2007, Citizens invested more than $2 million in communities across New Hampshire.
The Foundation grants for the first six months of 2008 supported the following community needs:
• Affordable housing.
• Community/Economic development.
• Youth support.
• Basic human needs.
